How to Make a Tinkerbell Costume

If you want to be the freshest fairy in Never Never Land this Halloween you can easily make you own Tinkerbell costume at home. You don’t have to go out and spend a ton of money to be totally Tink! With a few accessories and a little creativity you will surely soar above the rest.

Things You’ll Need:

Green Leotard
White Tights
White Turtleneck
Green Ballet Flats
Craft Pom Poms
Fabric Glue
Green Fabric Paint
Magic Wand
Drawstring Satchel

Putting Together your Tinkerbell Costume:

Step 1: First, you need to find your base clothing items the white tights and turtle neck should be easy. The green ballet flats and leotard can usually be found online. If you can only find white ballet flats, you paint them green white fabric paint. If you can only find a white leotard you can dye your leotard green with fabric dye, which is sold in the laundry section of most grocery stores.

Step 2: You will also need a magic wand and wings. You can make a magic wand by wrapping a stick in ribbon and decorating it. You can make wings out of cardboard. Cut wings in one piece and attach arm straps to the center of the wings with a stapler. The arms straps work best when made of elastic. Paint the wings with green glitter paint. You also buy both of these accessories at a costume shop.

Step 3: To give your shoes that extra Tinkerbell touch you will need to attach a pom pom to each one. Use fabric glue to attach one white pom pom to each shoe.

Step 4: Get a little bag or satchel and fill it with glitter. This will be your pixie dust.
