Ninja Costumes

It’s fair to state that ninjas never go out of style.  The ninja has been a source of mystery, intrigue and power for hundreds of years.  The timeframe of their origin may be a bit murky. However, it is clear that the ninja is a specialist in stealth, combat and, oh yes, killing people very effectively.

Much of what has been attributed to the ninja is folklore and mythology, but the truth of the matter is that ninjas are some serious customers.  Considering their level of clout, it isn’t too tough to understand why these warriors of Japan are popular characters in modern entertainment.

The different variations on the ninja costume are nothing short of impressive.  There are boy’s costumes and men’s costumes dedicated to the ninja. The ninja costume has also made many appearances in some of the most popular cartoon series of all time.  Take, for example, the kid classic favorite the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who are ninjas and mutants and teenagers and yes, turtles.  These little green action heroes are popular boy’s costumes for some pretty obvious reasons.  Imagine the fun of dressing up as a talking mutant turtle with super ninja powers.  Does it really get much better than that?

Another very popular cartoon that has prominently featured ninjas is G.I. Joe.  The G.I. Joe animated series ran for two years in syndication and produced 95 episodes from 1985 to 1986.  G.I. Joe was back in a big way in 2009 with the big-budget live-action film, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  One of the more popular G.I. Joe characters is that of Snake-Eyes, a mute ninja who has great ninja skills and is rather mysterious.  Snake-Eyes makes for one seriously awesome costume.  The GI Joe-Snake Eyes Classic Muscle Child Costume is a sure fire hit with any boy and makes for a great boy’s costume.  G.I. Joe sure has come along way from his early days as a mere action figure back in 1964!
